Can I use my own courier?
Summary
Yes. Merchants can select from a wide range of available logistics integrations in ShopIQ. If a preferred courier is not available as an integration, merchants can still fulfill orders off the platform using their own courier or manual delivery process. Automatic tracking updates may not be available for off-platform courier workflows.
Who this is for: Merchants who already work with a courier partner or want to use a shipping provider that may not be directly integrated with ShopIQ.
Can I use my own courier?
Yes. Merchants can use their own courier or delivery process. ShopIQ provides logistics integrations with supported providers, but merchants are not forced to use only integrated logistics partners. If the merchant's preferred courier is available as an integration, they can connect it inside ShopIQ. If not, the merchant can still fulfill the order outside the platform manually.
What are the available options?
- Integrated logistics partner — connect a supported provider such as Delhivery or Shiprocket for shipment creation, pickup, tracking, and automation.
- Own courier outside ShopIQ — manually ship orders using a courier or delivery partner not integrated with ShopIQ.
- Self-delivery — deliver products directly using the merchant's own team or local delivery process.
What happens if my courier is integrated?
- Shipment creation
- Pickup scheduling
- Shipping label generation
- Automatic tracking updates
- Customer order tracking
- COD shipment handling
- Return shipment workflows
- Delivery status sync
What happens if my courier is not integrated?
If the courier is not integrated, the merchant can still ship orders manually outside ShopIQ. The merchant is responsible for booking the shipment, sharing tracking details with the customer, updating order status manually, managing delivery issues, handling returns, managing courier charges, handling COD collection if applicable, and communicating delivery updates. Automatic status sync may not be available.
Can I use local delivery or self-delivery?
Yes. Merchants can use local delivery or self-delivery if that fits their business. This is useful for local stores, same-city delivery, high-value products, fragile items, furniture, custom products, or early-stage businesses. The merchant remains responsible for delivery completion and customer communication.
Can I use different couriers for different orders?
Yes. Merchants may use different couriers depending on their operations — for example, a local courier for same-city orders, an integrated logistics partner for national shipping, or a specialist courier for fragile products. Merchants should maintain clear internal tracking and customer communication across all couriers.
Does using my own courier consume AI credits?
No. Using an integrated or non-integrated courier does not consume AI credits. AI credits are consumed only when merchants use AI-powered workflows such as drafting shipping updates, analyzing delivery issues, or summarizing orders.
Using a non-integrated courier gives flexibility, but may reduce automation. Automatic tracking, pickup scheduling, COD settlement, and return tracking depend on whether the courier is integrated and properly configured.
