Do AI credits expire?
It depends on the credit type. There are two types of AI credits: subscription credits and separately purchased credits. Subscription credits expire with the billing cycle. Separately purchased credits roll over and do not expire until used.
What are subscription credits?
Subscription credits are the AI credits included in the merchant's active plan. These credits are provided as part of the subscription for the billing cycle and expire at the end of that billing cycle.
What are purchased credits?
Purchased credits are extra AI credits bought separately from Settings → Credits. Purchased credits roll over and do not expire until used. This is useful for merchants who want more AI usage beyond the credits included in their subscription.
What happens at renewal?
At renewal, the merchant receives the AI credits included in the renewed subscription plan. Unused subscription credits from the previous billing cycle expire. Purchased credits remain available until used.
Can unused subscription credits be carried forward?
No. Unused subscription credits do not carry forward after the billing cycle ends. They expire with the billing cycle.
Can purchased credits be carried forward?
Yes. Purchased credits roll over until used. They do not expire at the end of the billing cycle.
What happens if my subscription is cancelled?
If a subscription is cancelled, the merchant retains access until the end of the billing cycle. After that, a 30-day grace period applies. After the grace period, the website, hosting, database, storage, and associated services are suspended until the subscription is reactivated. AI credit access may depend on subscription status and account access.
What happens if I buy credits but do not use them immediately?
Purchased credits remain available until used, as long as the account remains active and accessible according to ShopIQ's subscription and account policies.
Subscription credits are meant for use during the active billing cycle. Purchased credits are better for merchants who want additional AI usage that can carry forward across billing cycles.
