Pricing, Credits & Billing

Do connected apps affect pricing?

Summary

Connected apps can affect pricing in two ways. First, each third-party integration counts against the connected app allowance in the merchant's ShopIQ plan. Second, third-party providers may charge their own fees separately from ShopIQ subscription billing.

Who this is for: Merchants who want to understand how integrations, connected app limits, third-party fees, and plan upgrades work.

Do connected apps affect ShopIQ pricing?

Connected apps may affect the plan a merchant needs. Each external third-party integration counts as a connected app. If a merchant wants to connect more apps than the active plan allows, they may need to upgrade to a higher plan.

Do connected apps have separate charges?

Yes, many third-party apps may have separate charges. For example:

  • Payment gateways may charge transaction fees
  • Logistics providers may charge shipping, COD, RTO, and return fees
  • WhatsApp providers may charge for messages, templates, numbers, or plans
  • Ad platforms may charge advertising spend
  • Domain providers charge domain registration and renewal fees
  • Analytics or marketing tools may have their own pricing

These charges are separate from ShopIQ subscription billing.

Does ShopIQ control third-party app fees?

No. Third-party provider fees are controlled by the provider. ShopIQ does not control payment gateway pricing, shipping rates, WhatsApp message pricing, ad spend, domain fees, or external tool charges. Merchants should review pricing directly with each provider.

Can I disconnect an app to free a slot?

Yes. Disconnecting an app frees the connected app slot immediately. However, merchants should review the operational impact before disconnecting an app — for example, disconnecting a payment gateway can affect checkout payments.

Can I replace one connected app with another?

Yes. A merchant can disconnect one app and connect another supported app, subject to available integrations and plan limits. The merchant should test workflows after replacing any app.

Do native ShopIQ features affect connected app pricing?

No. Native ShopIQ features do not count as connected apps — for example, dashboard, catalog management, orders, coupons, blogs, CMS, AI Chat, AI Website Builder, and ShopIQ Cloud hosting.

Do connected apps consume AI credits?

No. Connecting and using third-party apps does not automatically consume AI credits. AI credits are consumed only when AI is used to generate, analyze, summarize, or create something.

Merchants should consider ShopIQ subscription, AI credits, connected app allowance, and third-party provider fees when estimating total cost of running their store.
