Which payment gateways does ShopIQ support?
ShopIQ supports payment gateway integrations such as:
- Razorpay
- PhonePe
- Stripe
- PayPal
Other payment providers may be available depending on the merchant's region, setup, and integration availability. The merchant should check the available payment apps inside ShopIQ or contact ShopIQ Support or an Implementation Partner if they need help choosing or connecting a gateway.
Does ShopIQ collect payments on behalf of merchants?
No. ShopIQ does not collect payments on behalf of merchants. Payments are processed through the merchant's connected payment gateway. Payment collection, settlement, refunds, chargebacks, payment verification, and payment-related compliance depend on the merchant's payment gateway account and payment provider rules.
Who owns the payment gateway account?
The merchant owns and manages the payment gateway account. The merchant is responsible for creating the account, completing KYC, adding bank details, managing settlements, handling refunds, reviewing failed payments, understanding gateway fees, following payment provider rules, and maintaining required documentation. ShopIQ only provides the integration layer where supported.
Do payment gateways count as connected apps?
Yes. Each external third-party payment gateway integration counts as a connected app under the merchant's subscription plan. For example, connecting Razorpay, PhonePe, Stripe, or PayPal counts as a connected app. Native ShopIQ capabilities do not count as connected apps. Disconnecting an app frees the connected app slot immediately.
Does connecting a payment gateway require KYC?
Usually, yes. Payment gateways may require KYC, business verification, bank verification, PAN, GST, business registration documents, address proof, or other documents depending on the provider and country. ShopIQ account creation only requires Email OTP verification, but third-party payment gateways may have their own verification requirements.
Can customers pay using UPI, cards, wallets, or net banking?
Available payment methods depend on the connected payment gateway. For example, a gateway may support UPI, debit cards, credit cards, wallets, net banking, or international cards depending on provider settings and merchant eligibility. Merchants should check their payment provider dashboard for active payment methods.
Does ShopIQ charge payment gateway fees?
Payment gateway fees are charged by the payment provider according to its pricing. ShopIQ subscription charges and payment gateway transaction charges are separate. Merchants should review payment gateway pricing directly with the provider.
What happens if a payment fails?
If a customer payment fails, the reason may depend on the payment provider, customer bank, payment method, network issue, authentication failure, or gateway configuration. Merchants should review the payment gateway dashboard for payment status and failure reason. ShopIQ order status should be checked along with the gateway status before fulfilling the order.
Does payment gateway usage consume AI credits?
No. Connecting a payment gateway, receiving online payments, and checking payment status do not consume AI credits. AI credits are consumed only when the merchant uses AI-powered workflows.
Important things to know
Merchants should complete payment gateway setup and test checkout before accepting live orders. The merchant remains responsible for payment account compliance, settlements, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, reconciliation, and customer communication.
