Partner Program

What are partner limitations?

Summary

Partners can help merchants implement ShopIQ, but they do not replace the merchant's business responsibility or ShopIQ's platform boundaries. Partners cannot guarantee sales, control third-party providers, remove compliance obligations, or access unsupported deployment, API, or feature workflows unless specifically enabled.

Who this is for: Merchants and partners who want to understand what partners can and cannot do.

Partners cannot guarantee business results

Partners cannot guarantee sales, revenue, profit, conversion rate, ad performance, customer retention, return on ad spend, organic traffic, marketplace performance, customer demand, or repeat purchases. Results depend on products, pricing, brand, content, campaigns, fulfillment, customer trust, and market conditions.

Partners cannot replace merchant responsibility

The merchant remains responsible for products, product quality, pricing, inventory, fulfillment, payments, refunds, returns, taxes, compliance, customer service, product claims, business decisions, and customer data usage. Partners can help configure workflows, but the merchant remains the seller.

Partners cannot control third-party providers

  • Payment gateway approval and settlement timelines
  • Payment gateway fees
  • Logistics pickup and delivery performance
  • COD settlement
  • WhatsApp template approvals
  • Ad platform policies
  • Marketplace account approval
  • Domain provider DNS behavior
  • Third-party downtime

Partners cannot bypass ShopIQ plan limits

Partners cannot bypass plan limits unless the merchant upgrades or a specific partner arrangement applies. This may include connected app allowance, AI credit limits, plan-specific features, support access, subscription status, and account limitations. Partners should explain plan requirements clearly to clients.

Partners cannot use unsupported custom cloud or unrestricted APIs

Implementation Partners may use GitHub and Vercel deployment flexibility where supported. However, AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean, or custom cloud deployment is not part of the standard offering. ShopIQ APIs are available for selected capabilities through the API Partner Program — not as an unrestricted public API.

Partners cannot act as legal or tax advisors by default

Unless a partner is separately qualified and engaged for that purpose, partners should not be treated as legal, tax, accounting, audit, or compliance advisors. Merchants should consult qualified professionals for professional advice.

A clear scope of work, contract, timeline, pricing, support terms, and handover process helps avoid confusion between partners and merchants.
