How do logistics integrations work?

Summary

Logistics integrations allow merchants to connect shipping providers such as Delhivery, Shiprocket, and other available logistics partners. These integrations can support shipment creation, pickup scheduling, tracking updates, COD shipments, return shipments, and delivery status updates depending on provider capability.

Who this is for: Merchants who want to connect a logistics provider and manage shipping workflows through ShopIQ.

What is a logistics integration?

A logistics integration connects a ShopIQ store with a third-party courier or shipping provider. The logistics provider helps the merchant ship products to customers. Depending on the provider and integration, logistics workflows may include shipment creation, pickup scheduling, label generation, shipping charges, serviceability checks, tracking updates, COD shipments, return shipments, reverse logistics, and delivery status updates. The exact features depend on the logistics provider.

Which logistics partners does ShopIQ support?

  • Delhivery
  • Shiprocket
  • Other available logistics providers depending on setup

The merchant should check available logistics apps inside ShopIQ or contact ShopIQ Support or an Implementation Partner.

Who manages the logistics provider account?

The merchant manages the logistics provider account. The merchant is responsible for creating the provider account, completing required setup, adding pickup addresses, understanding shipping rates, managing COD settlement, reviewing RTO charges, following packaging rules, checking serviceability, coordinating pickup and delivery issues, and handling returns and reverse logistics. ShopIQ provides the integration layer where supported.

Does a logistics provider count as a connected app?

Yes. Each logistics provider counts as one connected app. For example, Delhivery counts as one connected app and Shiprocket counts as one connected app. Disconnecting a logistics app frees the connected app slot immediately.

Can shipping status update automatically?

Yes. If a supported logistics partner is connected, shipping status can update automatically based on logistics provider updates. Customers can track orders directly from the merchant's website where tracking is available.

Can logistics integrations support COD?

COD support depends on the logistics provider, merchant account, delivery location, order value, and provider rules. ShopIQ does not collect COD payments on behalf of merchants. COD collection, settlement, reconciliation, and disputes depend on the logistics provider or merchant's manual fulfillment process.

Can logistics integrations support returns?

Return shipment or reverse logistics support depends on the logistics provider and integration setup. Merchants should confirm return pickup support before promising return pickup to customers.

Does logistics usage consume AI credits?

No. Shipment creation, pickup scheduling, tracking, COD shipment management, and return shipment workflows do not consume AI credits. AI credits are consumed only when AI is used to analyze shipping data, draft messages, summarize delivery issues, or create policy content.

ShopIQ does not guarantee pickup, delivery, COD settlement, return pickup, serviceability, shipping rates, delivery timelines, or courier performance. The merchant remains responsible for fulfillment and customer communication.
