AI Analytics & Business Intelligence

What is AI Analytics in ShopIQ?

Summary

AI Analytics in ShopIQ helps merchants understand business performance through natural language questions. Merchants can ask about sales, orders, products, customers, campaigns, trends, forecasts, and unusual changes using AI-powered business intelligence workflows.

Who this is for: Merchants who want to understand their business data without manually reading complex dashboards or reports.

What is AI Analytics?

AI Analytics is ShopIQ's AI-powered business intelligence feature that helps merchants ask questions about their ecommerce business in natural language. Instead of manually filtering reports, merchants can ask questions such as:

  • "What were my sales today?"
  • "Which products sold the most this week?"
  • "Which customers placed repeat orders?"
  • "Show me pending orders."
  • "Which products are not selling?"
  • "Compare this month's sales with last month."
  • "Summarize my business performance."

ShopIQ uses available store data to generate business answers, summaries, and insights.

What business data can AI Analytics help analyze?

  • Orders
  • Sales
  • Products
  • Customers
  • Campaigns
  • Product performance
  • Customer behavior
  • Sales trends
  • Order patterns
  • Revenue movement
  • Business anomalies
  • Forecasts, where supported

The quality of analysis depends on the quality, completeness, and freshness of the data available in the store and connected apps.

How is AI Analytics different from a normal dashboard?

A normal dashboard shows charts, tables, and fixed reports. AI Analytics allows merchants to ask questions in plain language and get direct answers. For example, instead of manually opening reports and filtering products, a merchant can ask "Which products generated the highest sales this month?" and AI will summarize the answer using available business data.

Can I ask follow-up questions?

Yes. Merchants can ask follow-up questions to explore the business further. For example, after asking "What were my sales this week?", merchants can follow up with "Which products contributed the most?", "Which customers bought again?", or "Which category performed poorly?" This makes analytics more conversational and easier to understand.

Can AI Analytics forecast sales?

ShopIQ supports business intelligence workflows including forecasting where supported. Forecasting can help merchants estimate possible future trends based on available historical data. However, forecasts are not guaranteed predictions. Merchants should use forecasts alongside business judgment, market knowledge, inventory status, seasonality, campaigns, and customer behavior.

Can AI Analytics detect anomalies?

Yes. ShopIQ supports anomaly-related business analysis workflows where available. AI may help identify unusual changes such as sudden drops in sales, unusual return patterns, or product performance changes. Anomaly detection should be reviewed by the merchant before making decisions.

Does AI Analytics consume AI credits?

Yes. AI Analytics consumes AI credits when the merchant uses AI Chat or AI-powered analysis workflows. Manual dashboard viewing does not consume AI credits. For example, asking "Summarize my orders today" consumes AI credits, while manually opening the orders dashboard does not.

What happens if AI credits run out?

If AI credits run out, AI Analytics and AI Chat stop working until more credits are added. However, the merchant's website, orders, payments, hosting, manual dashboard access, and manual store management continue to work. Merchants can buy additional credits from Settings → Credits.

AI Analytics helps merchants understand business data, but it should not be treated as financial, legal, tax, or guaranteed business advice. Merchants remain responsible for pricing, inventory, fulfillment, marketing decisions, taxes, and business strategy.
