How do notifications work?
Summary
ShopIQ supports notifications and communication workflows for store activity such as orders, payments, shipping, customer requests, and account-related updates where configured. Notification availability may depend on account settings, connected apps, WhatsApp setup, email setup, logistics providers, and payment gateways.
Who this is for: Merchants who want to understand how they receive updates about store activity and customer actions.
How do notifications work in ShopIQ?
Notifications help merchants stay updated about important store activity. Depending on setup, notifications may relate to new orders, payment status, failed payments, refund requests, cancellation requests, return requests, shipment status, delivery updates, customer activity, account updates, billing updates, and connected app updates. The exact notification experience depends on the merchant's configuration and connected apps.
Can customers receive order updates?
Yes. Customers can receive order-related updates where configured. Customers can also track orders directly from the website. If a logistics partner is integrated, shipment status can update automatically based on logistics provider updates.
Can WhatsApp be used for notifications?
WhatsApp workflows may be available if a supported WhatsApp provider is connected. Providers such as GetGabs, WATI, Gupshup, or similar supported providers may be used for WhatsApp campaigns and customer messages. WhatsApp provider charges and rules are separate from ShopIQ.
Do payment gateways and logistics providers send notifications?
Payment gateway notifications depend on the connected provider and may include updates related to successful payments, failed payments, refunds, settlements, or disputes. Logistics notifications depend on the connected provider — if integrated, shipping status can update automatically and customers can track order status from the website.
Do notifications consume AI credits?
No. Receiving system, order, payment, or shipping notifications does not consume AI credits. AI credits are consumed only when AI is used to generate messages, analyze activity, summarize notifications, or create customer replies.
Merchants should test order, payment, shipping, WhatsApp, and customer communication flows before launch so important updates are not missed.
